Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

Whitney, You Will Be Dearly Missed.

Evidently, I am slightly late with this post as this beloved woman left us 13 days ago. But to me, a late post is better than never. Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born in August 9, 1963. The same year that my mom was born in too. Her voice is outstanding, inciting awe through the decades and even until today, she continues to bless the world with the tunes that she has made famous.

When the news hit the web, I was sitting in my room casually checking my Twitter newsfeed. I was unprepared when I read the numerous tweets about her demise. It was a devastating moment, one that I know I will not forget. I remember that moment, despite not knowing much of her except through her songs, I could not help but feel a small part of me die away along with the well-known diva.

But honestly, who could have known this was coming?
Despite the news of her career dwindling due to substance abuse, I have always held a hope that she would recover from her fall and one day return to the right path. I know it would not be easy, but she was always on my mind when I thought about people abusing drugs. I prayed that she would recover so badly, just so that we could all see her rise up again.

Then, when I saw this, I really felt so glad. I hoped so much that she could still belt out a few more award-winning tunes just to show everyone she was on the road to recovery. Though this may be too late now, I'm just glad to have seen her as this before she left us forever.

When the news hit me, I told my friends about it...wondering about their reaction to this grave news. Honestly, they did disappoint me. That was when I realized, they may have heard of her but none of them were fans of her songs and some have never heard of her most popular songs before at all. But I cannot blame them, she was not from our generation. I was brought up to the tunes of the golden oldies, while my friends bask in the tunes of the new generation. Am I ashamed of this fact? NAY.

Later that day, I browsed through the internet further to get the latest updates about her death. I was still wondering about the cause of her death at that time when I realized, there are many people in this world with so different opinions and disrespect. I know the death of one human cannot be compared to the death of millions in the continent of Africa but does this mean you have to show such disrespect to an amazing individual that has given so much to the world?

Today, we have lost an angel from the heavens and all you can think about is that, oh..why does she get more attention? This is not a competition. It's not like we are absolutely not giving a care about the people in Africa. I find it utterly disrespectful of people to make comparisons like this.

But coming back, thank you Whitney for all that you have given to the world. Your enchanting voice will never be forgotten but instead cherished for years to come. There will never be anyone who can ever replace you in our hearts and we will sorely miss you. My heart will now always cry for you whenever your songs are played.

"Saving All My Love For You" has always been my personal favourite. Despite "I Will Always Love You" being your most famous song, the latter has always taken a deeper meaning for me. If ever I find love in the future, I can only hope that my better half would adore the song with me. "The Greatest Love Of All" taught us about the need to learn to love ourselves first and I can't help but feel your presence all over. Bless you with all my heart, Whitney and may you rest in peace. You may no longer be with us, but now you are with Him.

There's Something In The Water....

Is it time to freak out? Is it time to shudder? Is it time for you to flip yourself out, rip that shirt that you are wearing into two and jump around maniacally while chanting indiscernible words? Well, I can't answer you that but here I am, my dear readers.

It's been awhile,hasn't it?

Last I check, it's been 3 months since my last post?

It must be so tormenting wondering where the author for this blog has went.

Well, my humble apologies...

But honestly, can you blame me?

With new social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, LinkedIn and whatever whatever popping out everywhere...Nobody really has the time to blog ever again!

But not to worry, I'm hoping to come back...
Probably still not that frequent, but maybe slightly more notable?

See you soon then. :)

We Will Overcome & When It All Falls Apart (Updated V3)

My dear friends, if you think I have gone off the deep end with this character, well...you're half right. True enough, I am absolutely obsessed with this character, his wit, his intellect, his mischievous ways...

It has done nothing but intrigued me the first time I saw him in the movie. I know I speak so much of him, he's practically coming out of my ear holes (quote by Tom, the actor who portrayed him). It's just, I find so much in common with him, when I saw him appear for the first time and the last time before he disappeared away in the movie, he captivated my attention and ignited back this part of me that has been dormant since high school, I guess...

Anyways, this is a fanmix done by another person in the Net that my friend showed me recently. It's pretty cool, the songs that were included in here. Most of them are pretty familiar, and in a way....it does describe a part of Loki in the show. And this guy who made this Tumblr page, is practically another Loki/Tom Hiddleston fan like me. So yeah...Awesome.

So this is the list of songs:

01. I Just Can’t Wait To Be King - Elton John/Tim Rice (This one is so cute...)

02. Superman (It’s Not Easy) - Five For Fighting (This one suits Loki very well!)

03. Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day (I love this choice of song for him!)

04. Marching On - OneRepublic

05. After the Storm - Mumford and Sons

06. Teeth - Lady Gaga

07. Never Say Never - The Fray

08. Get It Right - Lea Michele (Btw, GOOD SONG CHOICE HERE)

09. Fighter - Christina Aguilera

10. Going Under - Evanescence

11. Go The Distance - Michael Bolton (Song of confidence for him...)

12. Running Up That Hill - Placebo

13. Apologize - OneRepublic (Yes, you heard that...all those people who betrayed him!)

14. Nature of Inviting - IAMX

15. Iris - Devi Hlavinka

Oh, if you want to download the fanmix, I think you can find the link for that in the Tumblr page...

Now, I haven't heard all of the songs yet...But I'm hoping to add these few songs into the mix too. It's something I think suits him as well. Let me see...

16. Rolling In The Deep - Adele
REASON: Loki finally sees the light of truth that he was not what he had thought he had been. His anger was targeted at Odin for keeping the pain-staking truth from him.

17. Not Ready To Make Nice - Dixie Chicks
REASON: Well, I know that this song was written over a controversy faced by the group but the chorus of the song reflects Loki in a manner that shows how he's not ready to make nice, he's not ready to back down..He's genuinely still mad as hell that he faced such a difficult thing, the truth.

18. King Of Anything - Sara Bareilles
REASON: Yes, this is perhaps a parody of Loki deviously mocking at Thor..Who made you king of anything, brother? Father sure didn't!

19. Over My Head (Cable Car) - The Fray
REASON: If you did make your research in the meaning of this song, you'll realize it is about two brothers, who were at odds and not speaking to each other. Well, as the song goes...everyone knows I'm in over my head...Think that in a way, Loki's singing that to Thor. Perhaps, feeling sorry...

20. Fallen - Sarah McLachlan
REASON: Well, this song mostly pops out especially during the scene Loki releases his grip and decides to fall into eternity. It was suggested by my friend, which I have to say....Extremely good choice.

21. Set Fire To The Rain - Adele
REASON: Yes, another Adele song has to be mentioned as Adele is like Queen of sad love songs at the moment. This song was sung with the emotions of a scorned and hurt lover. Although it does not explain Loki's predicament, it had the same emotional feeling that could explain Loki's thoughts after his betrayal by those he had loved.

22. Candles - Hey Monday
REASON: Surprising choice? Yes, I have to say so but this was suggested by a good friend of mine. I know it's not exactly fitting, but come on. It's like in this predicament, you see Loki feeling all alone when once before, he was surrounded by family and friends. "Looks like a solo tonight.." Not befitting, you say?

23. Make You Mad - Becca
REASON: Okay, this was also suggested by a friend, a song that was particularly a bit too noisy for me but she did suggest this song. So, since I think of her as 'mentally married to Loki', I think she would know better than me as to what choice of songs to fit her husband well. (Lol, I think I'm in trouble now...)

Okay...I know there SHOULD totally be more songs to define Loki. I know there SHOULD be more songs out there. Why? Because he deserves it. So I'm sure I will update this list once I know MORE songs to add. But for now, these are the songs...I present to you.

Yes, yes. As you see, more and more songs are added into this wonderful playlist. If by chance, you find yourself also able to suggest a song, I do encourage you very badly to tell me all about the song/songs.

Surprisingly, the same person who made the first playlist have actually created another one too! So here it is...

01. Many Rivers to Cross - Annie Lennox

02. New Divide - Linkin Park (Good choice, although I kinda think it's a vague choice)

03. When It All Falls Apart - The Veronicas

04. Sundrenched World - Joshua Radin

05. What Do I Have To Do? - Stabbing Westward

06. Crying Lightning - Arctic Monkeys

07. Be Prepared - Jeremy Irons

08. Judas - Lady GaGa (Surprisingly, I was wondering if this would fit Loki too. Then I realized it suited those fangirls better, saying how they loved the bad guy more...)

09. Off I Go - Greg Laswell

10. Awake My Soul - Mumford and Sons

Wow, this girl is amazing. I honestly salute her, for being so dedicated with her passion for Loki. It made my life easier and I got to discover new songs at the same time. By the way, just to clarify, the girl I'm talking about isn't the same girl that I mentioned about being 'mentally married to Loki'. This girl is the one that made the first fanmix.
Anyways, I have some songs to add into the mix too. Lemme see..

24. Who I Am - David Archuleta
REASON: Obviously, it's weird to add an Archuleta song into the mix but this song talked about the idea of taking time off to finally discovered about himself. I just felt that, perhaps this would fit Loki who honestly needed some time to find out who he is and why is he in the universe now.

25. The Other Side - Rachael Yamagata
REASON: Firstly, I apologize to Chester if he finds it oddly insulting to associate this goddess of everything lyrical (in his words) with the god of mischief but I do hope he knows how it really does suit him, in a way. Loki's finally found out the truth about his past and he feels he's now on the other side from where he used to be. Even though the lyrics of the song doesn't exactly describe Loki's situation with his brother, but I find the melody and the tone of song reflected how Loki would have felt, being now separated from his brother, the one he grew up with.

Well, to be truthful I find Rachael Yamagata's songs to really suit the melancholic feelings that I think Loki feels throughout the entire movie. Even though the lyrics for the song doesn't exactly suit his situation, her tone really really touched the sadness Loki felt. I know I'm looking past his sadistic side, but it is true. It's god-darn true that Loki feels this pain within him that bores so deep.

26. Over And Over - Rachael Yamagata
REASON: This song was one of my favourites from her. The melancholy you feel even from her repeating the word 'over' and associating it with the visuals of rain falling...I could not stop listening to this song last time when I first heard it, all credits to my pal Chester who first introduced her to me.

27. Because Of You - Kelly Clarkson
REASON: Yes, she wrote it about her father. I know. Does this fit with Loki and Odin's situation then? To me, yes. I blame Odin's extremely horrible parenting skills for turning Loki to who he is now. So if there's any song to put all the blame on Odin, I'd totally support it.

28. What Hurts The Most - Rascal Flatts
REASON: Is this a good song? Somehow listening to it I can imagine Loki in it. Perhaps not exactly the perfect choice but nice song to listen to, nonetheless.

29. Disturbia - Rihanna
REASON: Is this a weird song for Loki? *chuckles* Anyways...it's like it's talking about Loki, his mind being in a disturbia. Hmmm...

30. First Cut Is The Deepest - Shania Twain
REASON: Baby, I know...the first cut is the deepest and who felt it worse than you? Nobody, I'm sure. And don't worry, Loki...you're not cursed. You will be loved. (Hey, this sounds so similar to a song by Maroon 5!)

31. Your Love Is A Lie - Simple Plan
REASON: Need any more description? Odin, your love is a big lie!

32. Goodbye - Spice Girls
REASON: Alright, I'm sort of taking this out of context but this song reminds me of how Loki and Thor says goodbye to their close brothers relationship. Telling each other goodbye to that close bond they had as brothers. Please do not think otherwise.

33. Through The Barricades - Spandau Ballet
REASON: Again, another song out of context...I thought of this song signifying how Loki felt about breaking the bond between him and Thor as brothers. Please do not ask me why both of them should really be together always, but I really wished they were always together and not in opposite sides.

34. Meant To Live - Switchfoot
REASON: This is at the situation where I hoped would feel like, he was meant to live for more than he is. He aspires to be more than just a second hand for his brother. Just to state it out, I don't really approve of Loki trying to stand out if that meant joining the bad side but I know for a fact, he is definitely meant to live for more!

35. Everybody Hurts - The Corrs (originally R.E.M.)
REASON: Loki, everybody hurts sometimes. But please hold on, because I know you will. Especially after the movie has come out, even if there seem to be more people loving your brother, the truth is...more people are also backing you up now. So, know that there are people out there who will support you. (Hahahha, I cannot imagine I just said that about a fictional character!)

Alright, alright...I'm pretty sure I took a lot of songs out of context just for Loki. I apologize first if you find it really inappropriate but I do my best. It's not often that I find so much to dedicate myself to a certain character, but if there is a chance Loki (from the movie, from the Marvel universe) really does exist, I do hope that he knows if he really finds himself being so hurt and wants to find a friend, my shoulder is here ready to do his bidding (mostly for crying on, yeah).

Perhaps I may have more songs, Just stay tuned for new updates.

Word Of The Hour/Day/Week/Month/Year

The word that I must remember because it will bring lots of extreme awesomeness that I've recently able to muster out from my probably, arguably, rusty beyond repair brain is...

*Drum rolls*

*Still rolling*

*Are you still with me?*

*Drumming continues*

MELANCHOLY!

For those that worry about the pronunciation, read it like this...

[ water - melon cauli - flower]

Meanings:
Adjective: Sad, gloomy, or depressed.
Noun: A deep, pensive, and long-lasting sadness.

Note to self: Please remember this word!
Self: Yes, I will!
Note to self: No, seriously! Remember this with all your heart! It's very important!!
Self: Sir, yes sir! I will not forget this word ever!! I promise to guard it from forgetting!!

BiG PlaNs

Yes, my dear readers...As I am still 'eyes deep' in Loki fandom, I have big plans mostly to do with him. I know there's already two posts about him, but I cannot resist myself.

Please look forward to these big plans. One of which really makes me all too excited to begin with.
I'm sorry I'm going to have to make you wait, unfortunately I will have to dedicate more time with other stuff. But don't worry, I won't forget my BiG PlaNs!

P.S. : I do have another blog for those that don't know. There are less updates over there but nevertheless...it is interesting to waste your time there. However, if time is precious to you, ignore this.

P.P.S. : You guys are awesome.

P.P.P.S. : And more...

Loki: Revisited

Okay, I get it. I’m pretty sure some of you will definitely not like hearing me talking about Loki all over again. Well, I can’t help myself so s* you. In an effort to perhaps change my perception about the main character, I’ve decided to watch the movie again (besides the fact I wanted to watch the after-credits ending scene that I missed the first time I went to watch the movie). I told myself, alright, since this time around I already knew the storyline of the movie, I would instead concentrate on the nitty-gritty or the subtle hints placed all over in the movie. I also decided to give Thor a second chance, perhaps seeing things his way and maybe decide to change my thought about him.

But before I head to telling you what I’ve decided about Thor, I am going to tell you all the subtle hints that can be found in the movie. Apparently, there are many hints about the Avengers in this movie. One of the pretty most obvious one is to look out for the guy that is supposed to hit Thor with his arrows, hanging up high in the air, posing with his cool bow. This guy is supposedly Hawkeye, one of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents that would play a more prominent role in the Avengers.

What else can you find, you ask? How about the name, Donald Blake. In the movie, it is supposedly Jane Foster’s ex-boyfriend. Well, in the comics, Donald Blake is Thor’s alter ego name.

And certain superheroes were also mentioned in the movie. If you had taken a deep appreciation to the dialogue of the movie, you would have heard Professor Selvig explaining to Jane about a friend who specialised in Gamma radiation and disappeared after meeting up with S.H.I.E.L.D. This is a clear reference to Bruce Banner, as all of you should know to be the Incredible Hulk’s alter ego.

The other hero that was partly mentioned in the movie would have to be Tony Stark/Iron Man. In the scene where the scary metal monster a.k.a. The Destroyer lands on Earth, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent randomly asks, “Is that one of Stark’s?”, to which Agent Coulson replies “I don’t know. That guy never tells me anything.” Btw, The Destroyer is freaking insane, yo! If I had that thing in my command, I can assure you, barbeque parties every weekend!!

If that is all, you are wrong. In the movie, you will see the first appearance of the Cosmic Cube. Yes, a cube with unlimited power that will probably make any wish come true. Talk about a symmetrically-shaped genie lamp, right? right?

Oh well, anyways… Yes, I gave Thor a second chance in redemption in my books. I tried to watch the show without a disdain for Thor and watched him as he portrayed a son trying to prove to his father that he was worthy of being a king. I watched as he did the one thing his father had told him not to, that is to disturb the bee’s nest in Jotunheim. I watched him as he got banished away from Asgard and then slowly reclaiming himself. Well, I really did try my best to give him the second shot to redemption but just by watching arrogantly strutting into the throne and blindly defying his father and then calling him a silly old fool. Thor should really have stayed in Earth and just let Loki win the heart of Odin for once. I mean, like they said in the movie, there must be a reason why Odin took Loki from the giants, right? Moreover, Frigga also said, they did not tell Loki the truth because they wanted him to feel just like the others. To blend in. So, why isn’t he given a chance like Thor? That’s hypocrisy, I tell you!

So, I revisited Thor a second time. And I still stand with my point. Thor, NO. Loki, YES!

To those who disagree, you are but a blind fool like Odin who has but only an eye to see. Oh yes, Did you know…When Odin rests in that chamber, he is actually in a state of sleep known as Odinsleep. During this time, Odin rests but he can still see and hear what is happening. So yeah, that’s Odinsleep for you. No ordinary sleep for this god.

Oh yeah, again..please remember the after-credits ending scene. It shows a cameo by Nick Fury/Samuel L. Jackson (ironically has an eye patch just like Odin!). It also shows Professor Selvig as well as Loki (again! Yay!). Oh yeah, and also the Cosmic Cube, mentioned earlier. Three guys, one cube. Go figure.

Oh and since she mentioned me in her blog, Cheri! I know you’re hyped up about Loki too because of this, but come on. You were asking for it when you asked me for the link!! And come on, it was fun!!

Anyways, I think I have definitely talked too much. I’ve been going on and on and on…I don’t know why!! I am practically insane right now! I mean, I’ve been watching Tom Hiddleston’s interviews for hours now. Been going from one to another! Ahhh…but seriously, Tom Hiddleston’s performance of Loki is phenomenal. I salute him and await his return soon in future movies.

*Hopefully by now, I am less hyped up about Loki*

The Rise of the Cubes

Something odd is happening in the movie world apparently. Back then, action/adventure movies were always about the round or spherical item of interest that becomes the centre of the entire movie. Back in those days, the little sphere of ‘immense power’ or ‘unlimited knowledge’ or ‘unspeakable value’ were extremely popular. All these special items found in the olden day movies were always in a shape of a sphere.

Let’s look at a few examples that I could recall (I know there should be more, but I just can’t seem to recall many of them).

angelina
Okay, I admit. I’ve not watched any Tomb Raider movies. So, I’m not sure what’s Angelina Jolie/Lara Croft has in her hands here but…It’s round!

goku
When it comes to balls, would this be forgotten? Obviously, no way Dragon Balls!

The movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", (alt.: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone), directed by Chris Columbus, based on the novel by J.K. Rowling. Seen here from left, Daniel Radcliffe (back to camera) as Harry Potter and Sean Biggerstaff as Oliver Wood holding a Golden Snitch ball. Initial world premiere (London) November 4, 2001. For those who are big fans of this movie, should know what is that in this boy’s hand. It’s round, so it counts!

As you can see, movies back then were all about little circular-shaped items with special attributes. But right now, the trend has changed and apparently spheres are out. Cubes are the new black of the season. It’s just seems to be popping out in many recent movies!
Want proof? Hmmmm….

the cube
Can you guys see what Mr. Shia LaBeouf/Sam Witwicky from the Transformers’ movies have in his hands? Well for one thing, it ain’t called ‘Fcking Round Ball’.

loki holding
Remember this guy? You should! If you’re reading my blog but you have no idea who this is, fuck you. No, perhaps just s* you. From the recent movie that hit the cinemas, this little glowing blue box is one very important element of the movie.

Captain America
For this one, if you don’t know who this is holding this cube-shaped thingy, I do not blame you. This movie hasn’t landed in the silver screen yet, but when it does, I am pretty sure you’ll know what the cube is capable of!

So, do you see the changes yet? Circles are out, squares are in!

So, you don’t have worry about ‘be there or be square’ anymore. Just tell them, haven’t you heard? Squares are so mainstream now. Squares rock now. So shut the hell up and leave me alone.

Haha, anyways… just a short post. Hope you enjoyed it.

Now You Know How They Do It....

Now, all of us know that one of the essential things that a human does besides eating, sleeping, breathing and living is excreting. Really!
Imagine not pooping or peeing...Do you think you can last as long as you are now?
Hell no, you'll be full of crap, and you'll stink yourself to death (and that's probably the least of your problems).
So like, okay....because of gravity right, our poop doesn't go all floaty floaty and start swimming around your face. Aren't we lucky?
We sure are. But think about it...

What about the poor astronauts in outer space?
Do they have to go through life shifting through a compact space filled with their own excrement everywhere? How can you live in such an environment?!

Okay, okay...I know you smarty pants out there must be saying, obviously they must have a way to do it la. Well okay, if you're so smart...why don't you explain to me?
I know you won't. Because you're a douchebag. Yes I said, I said, I said it because I can~~

So what you guys think? How do they do it? It can't be possible for it to be a normal toilet...then what bout something like the airplane toilet? Vacuum? You're half right. But then, think...even in the airplane, you can still see your feces before u flush it away, do u think that this works in outer space? No way! If you can see it, means it's gonna go floating to your face already!!

So, if you're totally out of ideas how they do it up up in space...Let me fill you in.

So, did you find that informative? I hope you do. Today is all about...information!
Knowledge is Power, my friends. The more you know, the better your life can be.
And now, you know how Astronauts do their business up in space without having to wear diapers or play with their own feces while they work!

Cheerio, my readers!

J. Gallither: The Fall Collection

Yes, down here in the hidden islands of New Zealand, the season of fall has arrived. The weather has begun to plummet and the trees are beginning to wither. What do you think of this season?
Do you like the view of the falling leaves and the yellowing trees? Or do you dislike it?
Do you find the moist weather of fall one of the most spectacular time of the year?

While you ponder, I have some photos of New Zealand that I've taken that I wish to share with you guys. It's not really like very amazing photos, but it's good enough to show you the feeling of the season of fall.

Without further ado, I present to you...

J.Gallither's Fall Collection: The Aww-Tumn Leaves!

These first two pictures were taken before the leaves were fully yellow...as you can see, hints of red and green and yellow are seen everywhere in the leaves. It brought the early signs of aww-tumn!

Isn't it lovely? Beautiful trees and falling leaves...

The row of trees around my university. These trees are amazing! They bloom in green during spring and they wither during aww-tumn. This is how they look now!

If you can see, leaves pile up all over at the bottom of the trees! It's seriously amazing.

Leaves seen everywhere on the streets, it's totally crazy!

More photos to show how much leaves can drop during the season of aww-tumn!

 Fascinating?

And with that, ladies and gentlemen...I present to you once again, The Aww-Tumn Leaves: Fall Collection. I hope you have enjoyed the lovely photos, and if you have this feeling of absolute envy, I only have this advice. I await your chance to come here and experience it yourself. It isn't enough just to look at photos. It is a must to feel the surroundings yourself.

So, do you have an answer yet to the question I've posted earlier? I doubt you do. You readers never answer any of my questions I post up at all. It's like it doesn't exist, or it doesn't matter or what the fck, I don't give a damn. Well, whatever la. S* you.

Bye.
